I am selling my 1974 Jeep cj5.  I have had this jeep for almost 2 years and have taken great care of it. Pretty decent shape and problem free. Havent driven it on the roads since about april this year. Run it around the neighborhood once a month just to keep the carb from gumming up and keep the gas from turning bad. Below is the  list of the good and the bad. Its mostly good, the bad its nothing major. Before turning the jeep over, I will send the jeep in for service and a professional detailing job on me. I will have them install new plugs/ oil/ filters and have a detailer buff out some inperfections on the paint from parking it under a tree. Its like tree sap stains. Will totally come off. Jeep starts on a dime and has a lot of power.

The good:

The bad

Needs new air filter cover and valve covers (rusty) my wheel locks got stolen along with my hitch key.could use a new coat of the dura liner. Its UV sensitive so it requires this after so many years, go from black to gray. Might just be fine with a top coat of satin black paint. The tires are in good shape with tons of tread, but are getting old in age. For safety I would buy a new set of tires. If you plan on using it for off road then it shouldnt be an issue. The tires on there are pretty aggressive for street use. If you would like to use this for a daily driver, would suggest something a little more mild. These are 31 inch tires.Parked the jeep under a mango tree last spring, left some water spot looking stains. I will pay for a professional to buff it all out. Paint has spots but is no means a unsalvageable. It just needs a good buff and waxing. Some chips on the paint from highway debris.windshield and tailgate frame is original and shows its age. Pretty cheap to replace if that bothers you, most paint shops are capable of paint matching, so its no real issue. These are the only body parts that are from 74.I would also recommend maybe using something like POR 15 to stop the surface rust under the frame. Could be done in a weekend just havent had the time to do it.Seems like there is a lazy lifter on the right side or an exhaust leak. I have replaced the exhaust gasket but can still feel a little bit getting out. I think there is some sort of inperfection on the mating surface of the header or a pin size hole. Havent removed the header so cant say for sure. There is a leaky fuel hose, that I will have the dealer replace. It leaks when you fill it up, but when I turn ot over, you wont have that issue.
