For sale is a rare automatic, 1986 Jeep CJ7.  This is the last year they made the CJ so it's highly collectible.  This Jeep has been my daily driver for the last 2.5 years and has never left me stranded.  It has a hard top, which is off right now, but I posted pictures from this last winter/spring with it on.  Hard top's in excellent condition.  If you look closely at the pictures, on the body you'll see a rust spot behind the rear, driver side wheel on the frame.  There's also a small rust spot behind the license plate.  And then underneath the corner guards are two lines of rus that pretty much is surface rust only, just under the paint.  It hasn't rusted through.  I posted a closeup of one side so you can see how minimal the rust is.  Both sides are exactly the same.  Considering the Jeep has a tiny bit of rust, you really can't see any of it.  It's been garaged the last 2.5 years and has not progressed.  Also the driver's side floorboard had some rust but it's been replaced.  The intereior is the best part of this Jeep.  It's pretty much perfect, with one small tear behind the back seat.  The carpet's in excellent shape with a small worn spot at the 4X4 stick.  There's a few small stains, etc. but nothing worth noting.

The Jeep's tires have about 5,000 miles on them.  The wheels are OEM stock wheels, primed and painted black.  There are 2" exgtensions on each wheel.  The Jeep has a 4" lift.  The Jeep has had a recent tune up (cap, rotor, wires).  New starter.  New wiper motor.  New wiper linkage.  New arms and blades.  It's also had new power steering hoses installed.  And it's had a new neutral safety switch replaced on the transmission.

The Jeep leaks a little bit of oil from the valve cover gasket but what Jeep doesn't?  The emergency break works, but doesn't lock in place.  It might with a little Wd40 but I've never tried.  All dials, lights and electrical works, including bright lights and wiper fluid.  It does not have a radio or CD player.  The Jeep is a little loose in the steering.  All Jeeps are, nothing terrible.  You'll notice a small clamp under the bumper.  That helps support the steering unit.  There's an aftermarket one that can be purchased that probably works better that'll help stabilize the steering better, but I haven't bothered to get it.  This works fine for me.

The 4X4 features works perfectly.  The wheel locks turn easily and it shifts into fourwheel drive smoothly.  Brakes also work great, don't pull, etc.

There's no wheel noise when you drive, other than the tires against the road.  It does not pull from side to side.  The tires are wearing evenly (very little wear).  The exhaust blows no smoke.  The vehicle starts up quickly right away.  I'll make sure it's cold when you look at it so you can hear a cold start.

The previous owner broke the key off in the ignition. Instead he fastened an aftermarket starter under the dash. It's easily accessible and hasn't been an inconvenience for me but might be something you'll want to change. Also there's no keys for the doors. The horn does not work and the steering wheel plastic centerpiece is missing, although I do have it. The Jeep also has a soft, opaque top that's fitted to cover the whole Jeep and protect from rain. Though you can't drive with it on, it covers the windshield. There is no soft or bikini top for the Jeep for driving. Hard top only.

Please note the front driver side fender has a small scratch/dent and chip out of the plastic part. Also, this Jeep has rarely been driven off-road since I bought it, except for a few times in winter. Not driven hard.
