Being re-listed due to non-Paying ebayer.  PLEASE be professional, if you BID, it means you intend to buy and that you have the money, not that you are waiting for someone to pay you so you can buy this jeep, etc..., etc..., DON'T RUIN IT FOR EVERYONE ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!

PLEASE READ VERY CAREFULLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And then READ IT AGAIN.   I want the person that buys this Jeep to understand clearly what they are getting and to be happy with their purchase.    I love Jeeps and wouldn't want it any other way.

HISTORY:

You are a looking at a 1973 (Good Collector year) CJ-5  v8-304 (3-SPEED)   that's been in my family for about 15 years.     This was my brother's jeep which he used casually for the first 7 years or so and it actually was running quite well at that time.   He then lost interest and used it less and less, and about 5 years ago, he stored it up in my place and that was the end of it.    Its only been started 2 maybe 3 times in 5 years,  and I recently put in a battery, and amazingly, it starts, but it does not idle well, and shuts off after a few seconds.  Its enough to move it back and forth and around the driveway, but NOT ENOUGH TO DRIVE HOME.  THis has been sitting too long to be considered a running vehicle, PLEASE MAKE NOTE OF THAT.   I have a 1982 CJ-5, not as a collectable, that's been pretty well cared for, and I love Jeeps, and my brother does too, that's why its important that who ever buys it is happy and understands what they are buying.  My brother took good care of it when he had it running, installed new brakes, leaf springs and shocks, these barely have any miles.

CURRENT SITUATION:

As mentioned, its been started maybe 3 times in 5 years, and just recently to move it around a bit, it holds idle long enough to engage reverse and 1st gear but then stalls.  THIS CAR SHOULD NOT BE DRIVEN HOME.

THe Body, Undercarriage, etc....  PLEASE SEE PICTURES, I took many pics., that's what you see underneath and all around.   To me, the Chassis is fine, it has some surface rust, but appears to have been sprayed with undercoating at some point, I don't see any rust/rot through, the floor as you can see has some typical rust, and it looks like it was replaced at some point, if you are looking at these cars, then you know what I mean, they rust.      But I have seen much much worse for much more money, that's for sure, they are not giving these way, especially this year model, and I never seen one for under 2K that wasn't rotting through.  This one in my opinion, can be saved, you will have to deal with body work, and this has had some done already, please note the pictures.

I can't say much about the engine, it starts, sounds strong, but again, without driving it often and being familiar from that perspective, I don't really know.

The dash board had been painted black, that's what you see in the pictures, its basically peeling.

This jeep s attractive though, you can tell that it had been real neat looking at some point, it still looks pretty good even after all these years of being, pretty much in a "barn storage" type
situation.   I consider this a project car at this point mainly because of how long its been sitting idle, too many unknowns, that's the way mechanical things are, besides, Jeeps, especially CJs are project cars until they are finished, that's part of the fun I guess.

This is a NO-RESERVE  auction, and I PREFER THAT YOU LOOK AT IT IN PERSON FIRST BEFORE BIDDING!!!!!!    I will sell locally if someone wants to drop by.   If it goes by Auction and you pay the deposit and then see it and don't like it, you get your money back, but all shipping is on you, you'll have to pay shipping to you and then back to me, so PLEASE be sure of what you are looking for before bidding.

You must arrange for shipping!   I'll work with your company on my end, but you'll need to make the arrangements.   JEEP WILL NOT BE SHIPPED UNTIL ALL FUNDS CLEAR.   TITLE IS UNDER MY NAME AND IS CLEAR!!!!!

Thank you for looking.
